Students along with parents are encouraged to attend.

    JUNIORS & SENIORS:
This is the time to contact your counselor for help with college/career/ or military questions! The earlier you plan for life after high school the better!

SAT and ACT test: Check online at www.actstudent.org/register or www.collegeboard.com to sign up for one of these college entrance tests NOW if you haven't already taken one of them. Test date information can be found in the Guidance Office.

The Senior Scholarship Bulletin can be found online under "Resources" on the Counselor's page. REMEMBER, there are deadlines for these scholarship opportunities, so allow teachers/counselors/etc. enough time before those deadlines to write your letters of recommendation.

    EAC Academy Info:
Start thinking about the fall and spring semester classes you'd like to take through the college. See your SHS counselor for questions. Also, visit www.eac.edu for EAC class schedules. Academy paperwork can be found under Resources.

    GIFT/ACADEMY Withdrawal date:
DEADLINE FOR WITHDRAWAL from GIFT and Academy without record is January 23, 2024. If you withdraw after this date, you will receive a "WF" on your SHS transcript. See your counselor for Academy and GIFT withdrawal.

NOTE:  Students who are planning to take classes through EAC for the first time will have to take the placement test before they can register for most academic classes, including English and Math. Go and see Mrs. Graham in 302.

Please do not hesitate to contact our office with any questions or concerns. Our goal is to support the students of SHS in starting off a successful new school year!
